Training and Education Assistance

Upgrading your skills can lead to the right job

For many job seekers, finding the right job right now is the logical way to go. But if you are uncertain which job is right for you, or if you lack necessary credentials/experience, training may be what's needed to help reach your career goals.

Financial aid may be available to eligible job seekers through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998.

CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion can also help match your skills with jobs that are currently in demand. If additional training is required, we can help you understand your training options, including how to prepare for a career in one of the "Targeted Occupations" and how to develop a plan to succeed during and after training. Many times, we can help cover tuition and provide other needed assistance.

Financial assistance

We are accepting applications through June 30, 2015 for tuition assistance. Those interested in applying for a CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion scholarship must visit one of our office locations and complete the Roadmap to Employment orientation. You may also complete the Roadmap Orientation online here.

Once Roadmap to Employment is completed, scholarship applicants will need to schedule an appointment with a Placement Specialist.

You may also be eligible for a PELL grant through the Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit FAFSA to apply for assistance.
