Training and Education Assistance

Upgrading your skills can lead to the right job

For many job seekers, finding the right job right now is the logical way to go. But if you are uncertain which job is right for you, or if you lack necessary credentials/experience, training may be what's needed to help reach your career goals.

Financial aid may be available to eligible job seekers through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014.

CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion can also help match your skills with jobs that are currently in demand. If additional training is required, we can help you understand your training options, including how to prepare for a career in one of the "Targeted Occupations" and how to develop a plan to succeed during and after training. Many times, we can help cover tuition and provide other needed assistance.

Financial assistance

Currently we are only accepting applications for Computer Numeric Control Training and IHK Certification Preparation Class assistance. This program will begin on Jan. 25, 2016 and only has nine available seats.

To determine funding eligibility, those interested in the program should complete the three-step Roadmap to Employment process. Once finished, you will be able to email a request for an appointment. Complete instructions are on the Roadmap to Employment page.

Important:  Please specify CNC Training in your application and in your “request an appointment” email.

Those interested in training assistance are encouraged to check this page from time to time as funding can become available throughout the year and applications for other CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion programs may be accepted.

Information about scholarships, Pell Grants and student loans for other training programs is available through the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit FAFSA to apply for assistance.
